ABSTRACT

Introduction: This study examined social perceptions and rejection towards fifteen mental illnesses, as well as a preliminary test of the SUBAR model, that hypothesized perceptions of both vital forces and burden would be negatively and positively related to social rejection, respectively. Methods: Using an online survey with participants from France (n = 952), social rejection was assessed using a feeling thermometer and a social distance scale, while social perceptions were measured using visual analog scales. Results: A stigma map for these different disorders is drawn up, revealing the social perceptions and levels of stigmatization specific to certain mental illnesses. Controlling for relevant social perceptions (i.e., danger, warmth, competence), we found that perception of burden was positively and significantly associated to social distance and negative feeling for 73% and 67% of mental illnesses, respectively. The perception of vital force was negatively and significantly related to social distance and negative feeling for 87% and 20% of mental illnesses, respectively. The change in R2 between model 1 (i.e. perception of danger, warmth, competence) and model 2 (i.e. model 1 + perceptions of vital force and burden) significantly improved in 100% of cases for social distance and 67% of cases for negative feeling. Conclusion: These preliminary data provide support for the SUBAR model and call for further investigations to better understand the social rejection of people with mental illnesses.

ABSTRACT

It should be the ultimate goal of any theory of evolution to delineate the contours of an integrative system to answer the question: How does life (in all its complexity) evolve (which can be called mega-evolution)? But how to plausibly define 'life'? My answer (1994-2023) is: 'life' sounds like a noun, but denotes an activity, and thus is a verb. Life (L) denotes nothing else than the total sum (∑) of all acts of communication (transfer of information) (C) executed by any type of senders-receivers at all their levels (up to at least 15) of compartmental organization: L = ∑C. The 'communicating compartment' is better suited to serve as the universal unit of structure, function and evolution than the cell, the smallest such unit. By paying as much importance to communication activity as to the Central Dogma of molecular biology, a wealth of new insights unfold. The major ones are as follows. (1) Living compartments have not only a genetic memory (DNA), but also a still enigmatic cognitive and an electrical memory system (and thus a triple memory system). (2) Complex compartments can have up to three types of progeny: genetic descendants/children, pupils/learners and electricians. (3) Of particular importance to adaptation, any act of communication is a problem-solving act because all messages need to be decoded. Hence through problem-solving that precedes selection, life itself is the driving force of its own evolution (a very clever but counterintuitive and unexpected logical deduction). Perhaps, this is the 'vital force' philosopher and Nobel laureate (in 1927) Henri Bergson searched for but did not find.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: In the previous paper, a relatively new interpretation of quantum theory called quantum Bayesianism or QBism was introduced as an alternative quantum metaphor for the therapeutic process (TP). This is because previous metaphors have been based on conventional quantum theory (CQT) and its notion that quantum states belong to a strongly objective shared reality. QBism says no: quantum states are subjective degrees of belief made by the individual agents assigning those states. This suggests QBism's explicit subjectivity is more in line with practitioners' (Pr) and patient's (Px) implicitly subjective TP experience. OBJECTIVE: The objective was to investigate the impact on this suggestion of a gyroscopic model of the vital force, Vf. METHOD: Based on an original starting wavefunction for the Vf, a sequence of equations and transformations between them are generated and then interpreted as the Vf interacting with and moving into and out of disease (Dx) states, in essence, a physics of health. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: These equations and their transformations manage to predict (a) homeopathic aggravation from the curative remedy (Rx), and (b) the logic behind Hahnemann's development of the LM potencies. Further, displaying these equations and their interactions pictorially and geometrically (as a stellated octahedron) suggests that the recently developed gyroscopic model for the Vf supports a metaphor for the TP (based on the subjectivity explicit in QBism) that is indeed viable and potentially superior to previous metaphors based on the strong objectivity of CQT.

ABSTRACT

In the last 200 years, the action of the highly diluted homeopathic remedies has been proved by their curative effect on the human organism. In this work, a hypothesis concerning the mystifying question about this action is proposed. The hypothesis suggests that any pathology, either functional or structural, can be detected in the change of the overall energy of the human body. Such energy is constituted by fields of force according to quantum physics. More precisely, every disturbance of the human organism affects the spin on electrons of different elements within the human body, and their reset could take place with an agent similar to the electromagnetic force that created the problem. This statement has been proved by the correct homeopathic treatments, as it can be seen in many published cases. The hypothesis is based on two approaches, the idea of the spin of electrons and the vital force, and their scientific relevance.

ABSTRACT

Nature and humans are inseparable creators. Since time immemorial, humans have created in nature to express themselves, unburden themselves, heal themselves and transform themselves. By providing the conditions for rediscovering this form of authentic creative expression, land art therapy enables anyone whatever their problem (psychosomatic disorders, psychological pathologies, addictive behaviour, etc.) to liberate their stifled body, to rediscover their vital force, to reconstruct a real link between the body and the mind and to become a subject again.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUND: Many complementary and alternative medicine modalities consider the vital force (Vf) an organism's source of health and healing, Hahnemann's notion of the Vf having similarities with quantum systems. Thus, the Vf is only indirectly observable via expressed symptoms: a quantum property is only indirectly observable via its observed experimental effects. OBJECTIVE: To develop further a quantised gyroscopic metaphor of the Vf in which dis-ease slows axial rotation, causing the Vf to precess (i.e., express symptoms). The curative remedy accelerates axial rotation, throwing off the dis-ease, so precession (and symptom expression) cease. METHOD: Using earlier wave functions depending solely on observed patient symptoms and changes to them, 6 further wave functions are generated, representing the Vf in various states of dis-ease and health. RESULTS: All 6 Vf wave functions can be arranged on 6 of the 9 points of an enneagram, the other 3 representing the practitioner. CONCLUSION: Transformations between the 6 Vf states are readily visualised. They may also be divided into two groups separated by a therapeutic "event horizon," the practitioner being the "arbiter" between them. Thus, they could represent non-reductive information states, suitable as starting points for understanding the influence of consciousness on the therapeutic process.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

The present text is an abstract of the conference that the prestigious homeopath offered in June 8, 1979 at the Escuela Nacional de Medicina y Homeopatía (National School of Medicine and Homeopathy) which belongs to Instituto Politécnico Nacional (National Polytechnic Institute) in México. In it, the progress in medicine is addressed and the author emphasized that although the lexicon in this matter has multiplied, what really should matter to the practitioner are the facts, which are always better than theoretical elements. Dr. Eizayaga talks about various topics as the dosage, the use of different potencies, the importance of high-quality schools to stop the emergence of “healers or enlightened masters”, the Law of Similars and the concept of vital force.
